• Managed all infrastructure aspects of the Omega 11i Project, migration of the EMEA Order Management system from Oracle 11.03 on Solaris to Oracle 11i on Linux (70+ servers, 20+TB SAN).
• Storage migration to new EMC DMX-3 arrays, re-architecting Oracle 10G RAC clusters and underlying storage to avoid future operational issues. Minimal impact to production, tightly controlled change windows.
• Design, project management, and implementation of all infrastructure for Americas Oracle 11i Accounts Receivables project (70+ servers, 60+TB SAN).
• Green Belt project to migrate EMEA based Sun E10K’s to smaller, cheaper systems, while maintaining access to the legacy applications required for legal compliance. First year savings of US$2 million.
• Presenting the “Dell on Dell” message to enterprise customers.

• 3rd Level support of mission critical systems, advanced troubleshooting, preparation of Root Cause Analyses within Dell. One internal customer commented:

• Service Unit Leader to manage provision of UNIX support to American Presidents Line (APL). APL SBU “Most Valuable Person” award in October 2004.
• Implemented of Sun software/hardware upgrades and system installs in accordance with established IT policies, procedures and SLA’s for ACS’s clients.
• Reviewed solution designs in support of sales efforts. In one project, my involvement reduced per system cost to $75,000 from $500,000, making ACS’s solution more competitive.
• Technical expert for the shared backup environment, helped to maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot a VERITAS NetBackup infrastructure (Clustered Master Server, 40+Media Servers) for ACS of over 3000+ backup jobs per night.
• Implemented a Mainframe to Web connectivity solution for Ingram Micro using OpenConnect software, Apache reverse proxies, SSL, and RSA ACE.
